So I got my oil changed yesterday, and they told me the back tires are worn. They only have roughly 15,000 miles on them! This can't be normal right? Or is there something wrong with my suspension that's causing this?

do you have a/s (all season) tires or high performance summers?

high perf summer tires tend to get worn pretty quickly, esp if you like to push your car around.

you have to check the wear pattern on the tires also to see if it's suspension causing it, or some other factor..

The original Michelin Pilots on my 97 Z3 were all but bald at 12k. The tread wear rating was only about 180, a great performance tire. You sacrifice mileage for performance when you get into high performance tires.

Check out Discount Tire

They have some good performance tires with tread wear ratings in the 300's. JUst remember the higher the tread wear rating the longer the tire last, but you loose grip as you go up in numbers.

15k is pretty good for a set of rear tires. I wear out my rears twice as fast as fronts. The bigger the tire, the less choices you have. Nearly all 245/40/17 tires are high performance and I'd assume 90% of 18 inch tires are the same. Thats just the price you pay.
