Removal of Console

I am unsure how to describe this, but I am wanting to remove the black trim piece? that goes around the shifter and around the computer. It is the part that contains the window switches. I have a 1998 328I. Any help will be greatly apprecaited. You can email me at klehnhardt@infoave.net
