what do you guys recommend for oil weight i have 10w30 synthetic valvoline now but i want to use 20w50 syn for the summer is that to think also can i use 20w50 in the winter as well

Which 36 do you have? I use 10w40 year round in my M roadster.

I would us 10w40 in that as well. That is also what Mobil 1 recommends for your car.

is mobil 1 better than valvoline full synthetic i drove 3000 miles on valvoline syn and my oil is still clean

I like Mobil 1 as it was one of the pioneers of synthetic oils and BMW used it for years before switching to Castrol. I am sure all in all if you change it regularly it does not make that much difference. The brand is not what determines how clean the oil is after 3k, it is how the car is driven, enviroment (dusty, etc) and how clean the engine was to begin with, or maybe the detergents in the oil are substandard and not cleaning out the gunk. A lot of factors. Pick a quailty brand and stick with it.
