e36 conversion

is it possible to replace a 318is m44 engine 99(T), to a 325 or 323 engine? has anyone done this b4? if yes is it feasible and what is required to make the conversion successful?

yes it is . . . you can put a M50 motor if you want to, you just need the ECU from that motor too

this swap is difficult from what I hear. Tho possible, you'd need alot of fabricating to make it work. You'd have to make new motor mounts because the M44 mounts and M50 mounts are different. Where as the M50 and S50 share the same motor mount locations this is a truely easy swap. Plus you'd need various other parts to make the M44 to M50 work. People say it is more feasible to go forced induction than swap

cheers guys, i think i'll just get rid of ma car and buy a 325! from what it looks, it might save alot of hassle that im not willing to go through. thanks anyway.
